EasyBoot Trail Horse Boot

The hoof boot built for sustained trail riding on rocky terrain. Easier to apply and remove than the Glove, more forgiving fit for horses transitioning off shoes or with irregular hoof shape. Sold per boot in hoof sizes — measure before ordering.

A hoof boot does one job: protect a barefoot or transitioning horse’s hooves on terrain that would otherwise bruise or chip the hoof wall. The EasyBoot Trail is the right model for packing and trail riding because it prioritizes ease of use over a precision fit. The Velcro gaiter holds the boot without the snug stretch-fit that makes the Glove model tricky to apply in the field with cold hands. If a boot loosens on the trail, re-seating it takes 30 seconds.

The TPU shell is thick enough to handle Wyoming rocky terrain — granite talus, shale shelves, sandstone flats — without cracking. The Vettec pad insert adds cushion on hard rock and protects a thin-soled hoof. The tread pattern sheds mud rather than packing it, which matters on the wet clay sections of the Bighorn and Wind River trails where packed mud adds slipping risk. One boot per hoof, ordered to match the hoof size.

Sizing is critical. These are sold per boot in sizes 0 through 8, measured by hoof width at the widest point and hoof length from toe to heel. Trace the hoof on paper, measure both dimensions, and use EasyCare’s sizing chart before ordering. A boot one size off won’t stay on. The EasyCare website has a fit guide and video — start there.
